Hey Everyone

Here is a an update of what has been and still is biting here in the Ponce Inlet area. Our Inshore our captains are reporting that the mullet run in is full swing and so is the fishing. Big Bull Reds and over slot sized Snook are regular catches with the catches being as many as 30 Redfish in an a day. The Tarpon are here and there is no mistaken it they are eating at the end of the North Jetty and if your not sure just head out and look for the boats. Capt. Austin said that it feels like Boca Grande rather than Ponce Inlet. He has been catching tarpon on average 200 lbs daily. Now let move offshore......

Capt. Josh on the past two charters has come back to the docks with some serious meat. Each trip he has limited out on Red Snapper all in the 15 lb range as well as limiting on Amberjacks, Vermilion Snappers and a hand full of Black Sea Bass and trash can sized Trigger Fish. He has mainly been using live Pinfish and squid as his bait of choice. On both of his trips he has also had schools of Mahi come and hang out at the boat, he put 14 (10-15 lbs) on the boat on Monday as well as his massive day bottom fishing. He has started to see some sailfish inshore but has said that we are still needing a cold front until we see a really nice migration of them. This coming weekend Oct. 9, 10 ,11 is the Annual New Smyrna Beach Billfish Invitational so keep your fingers crossed for that cold front. If you like the King Mackerel and Spanish Mackerel they are thick as thieves both are following the mullet run and you can easily get hooked to smoker with out any problem.

Tight lines
Capt. Paul
